Today was the first day of school in Coweta. The boys were so excited and have been for the last few weeks. We got all their school supplies (wow that was expensive :-0 ) and new backpacks, and we got to meet their teachers yesterday. We got up early today and got them ready, and I took them to school. I walked them into the gym where all the kids meet and split into their classes, and I helped them find their row. They let the parents stay through the pledges and moment of silence, and then I gave them one last hug and kiss and left them. I did pretty good- not too many tears. I am so thankful that a friend of ours is a teacher at their school, and she has been such a blessing showing us around and encouraging us. They both had a great day and already show their two personalities in how they relay what their day was like. With Sean, you have to ask a lot of questions to pull the info out, and then when he is ready he will talk about it. Ethan gets in the van and tells every detail of his day. Sean loved snack time, and Ethan is excited about PE and having so many boys in his class. They are both excited for the year and to go back tomorrow. I think we will all really like this school, and we are excited to meet more people in the community through the school. I've already signed up for all kinds of activities at their school, hoping to get really involved. So here's a picture of the boys (and Kaitlyn in her pj's) before they headed off this morning:
