Sitting here thinking....

I'm sitting here thinking about all that is going on and has gone on lately. I thought I'd share a brief summary of some of my thoughts.

* I can't believe summer is over and school is starting up! Tuesday is enrollment and then the week after we get to go meet their teachers. We're excited to get out there and meet some families and be a part of this community with the purpose of influencing them for Christ.

* We love our house! It's so incredibly nice to be in our own place! I know I've said that a lot, but we are just so thankful for the journey we've been on over the last year. It's great to look back and see God's hand in every part of getting us here, through all the ups and downs. He was and is so faithful! So we are thankful that we are settled and starting to use our home for ministry!

* Time is flying by! I can't believe we've been here 6 months already! Each day and week is going so quickly! The day if busy with Ellie being here every morning and the kids keep me busy too! It will go even quicker with school. They are growing up too fast!

* On a lighter note, Jarod got a truck. His Buick was on it's last leg- it is 18 years old! A guy in our church is a car dealer and goes to car auctions. So we told him what we were looking for and what price range and he found one. It's a Dodge Ram with the supercrew cab. The kids love riding in it. It has a dual exhaust so when you start it up it roars to life! Too funny. And it's Chiefs Red! It's a really pretty truck, and I'm so thankful Jarod finally got a vehicle that is reliable and one he likes.

* We closed on our house in KC this last week, so it is no longer our house. Every once in a while the kids will ask about that house. It's good that it is all taken care of and out of our hands but still bittersweet as we sold our first home.

* Ethan's 7th birthday is coming up. Can he really be turning 7?? I'm not sure what we are going to do for his birthday. He has grown up so much and is a great kid. He is very intelligent and has a very tender heart. God has great things planned for that kid!

* I need to paint the bathroom here, but I am lacking motivation. Anyone want to come do it for me? :-)

That's all my ramblings for now!
