A few observations

Since we moved to Oklahoma about a month and a half ago, there have been some observations I have made. Here's what I've noticed about Oklahoma so far:

-The roads are too small for the amount of traffic here. It sure makes me appreciate KC roadways! You definitely have to give yourself extra time if you are driving through certain areas of BA!
-There are QT's every where!! There is one about every mile and thankfully one a minute from the church!
-People are friendlier here. I think it's the small town feel of Broken Arrow, but cashiers actually look you in the eye and talk to you and people hold doors open for other people.
- Almost every house has either brick or stone on them. There are a lot of brick homes!
-Wal-Mart sells 20 packs instead of 24 packs of pop.
-The weather people on the news don't get as excited about storms as they do in KC (with the exception of channel 5 in KC ;-) ). It's probably b/c they get more storms here since the storms like to travel up I-44.
-The news channels remind me of Joplin news!
-Some of the commercials remind me of Joplin commercials! Yeah- that good!
-There are a lot more Goodwills, thrift stores, and consignment stores here, which is great!
-The dirt does had a red tint to it- I noticed this when we gave the kids a bath the other night after they threw dirt at each other. The tub had a nice ring of red dirt.
-I love the Oklahoman accent! Our kids will probably pick up on this!

Well, I think that's all for now! I'll add more if I think of them later!

  1. Love it!! And if you think you have red dirt down there... well, let me just say - don't bring anything white to camp with you. ;)

Oh..and btw-I was trying to follow your blog and mistyped my name the first time... so you can delete that weird littlejstirl thing. That's no one.
