A look back and a look forward

2009 has been a great year. It's been a year of growing for me and for us as a family, but it has also been a truly blessed year. I am so thankful for all God has done. The move to Oklahoma was a huge move for us. The whole adventure of how this came about was full of ups and downs and definitely a leap of faith. But trusting God and Jarod to lead us through it brought us closer as a couple and also deepened our trust and faith in God. His call on us for this move was so strong, even when others didn't see it, that we knew this was His will for us. We still see that now that we've been here a year. God has stretched us; blessed us; motivated us; and convicted us. We are so thankful for all of it!

As I look to 2010 I am excited to see what God has planned. What new adventures lay around the bend? What blessings and hardships are in store for us? I desire for our family to continue to grow closer together, and for the kids to continue to grow in their faith. I am going to continue on my path of constantly trying to be a better wife and mom. I want to do better with my devotions and memorize more Scripture. I want our connection group to draw closer and be real with each other. I also want our group to do some real outreach to the community. I pray for Jarod and me to be able to baptize one person this year. I pray for my extended family to come closer to Christ this year.

We have some great opportunities of service coming up ( I will explain more later) that will stretch us and also give us great opportunities to stretch our faith. I pray they come about! May God give us all opportunities for growth and celebration this year! Happy New Year!
